Roberto Márquez’s very successful year

Let's recognize and applaud Roberto Márquez's very successful year!

Roberto defended his dissertation in mid-May. We congratulate him on the momentous occasion of his becoming Dr. Márquez!

Also notable over the course of his 2019-2020 academic year, Roberto was the lead author on a paper published in BioRxiv, and the second author on papers published in Current Biology (this paper made the cover of the issue), and in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (see citations below for details). In addition to all this, Roberto was a co-recipient of a National Science Foundation Enabling Discovery through Genomic Tools (EDGE) grant, awarded in 2018 and active from 2019 through 2021.
